Crystals

And sometimes I get lost in the crystals
Of your eyes when your blue connect with my green.
Or the way your hair falls when your fingers gently
Blend the colors on a crisp piece of paper.
It’s funny how these kind of things work out.
Like falling for the straight girl down the hall.
How I wish to memorize the curves of your
Figure as you lay beneath my careful tips.
And maybe that’s oh too intimate for your
Inexperienced mind but I know you crave it too.
Because in the darkness something comes alive in you
And you too radiate the same passion when our lips collide
together like eager teenagers at a lovers lane.
I love the fluttering of your lashes as you incoherently
Mumble that “it’s too much”
But you and I both know that a yearning brews
In the deepest pit of your sheltered mind and it’s screaming
“you know you want her too.”
But we both know that it’s not that simple
As confessionals flood your mind like mainstream music
Consumes the waves.Â
And I ask you, am I worth this trouble?
As I begin to doubt you draw your lip to your teeth
And assure me that those feelings are there.
And in that moment, we become real.
With your mark on my skin, I’m claimed as your own
Even though this thought is too much for you to grasp.
But even in the darkest crevices of your denial,
You know, that I will be yours as you will be mine.
You preach to me that I’m cocky but yet maybe I’m just hopeful,
Hopeful,
That the straight girl down the hall
May be falling for me too.
