Curled Up By The Fireplace

Curled Up By The Fireplace

Curled up by the fireplace

We sit all safe and warm

Sipping on hot cocoa

As we listen to the winter storm

The lightning flashes in the sky

We hear the thunder's roar

Here comes the mix of snow and rain

Oh my, yes it does pour

On a night so cold like this

We dare not go outside

So we stay here by the fire

From the winter storm yes we shall hide

The storm has taken us captive

Now the power has gone out

But the fire in the fireplace

Still burns as the storm does shout

Curled up by the fireplace

No place I'd rather be

Then curled up on the floor

With the man that does love me

As I'm held in his arms

I am rapped up in his touch

With unconditional love

To the man I love so much

The windows are all frozen

We can't open the door

So we cuddle by the fireplace

In a blanket on the floor

The storm will not let up

With the freezing rain and snow

We dare not go outside

It must be 20 below

So we stay curled up by the fireplace

As if we're the only ones to remain

I don't want this night to end

Please continue freezing rain
