Current Future

Swimming with the fish
down a free flowing stream
of electric consciousness

Bouncing off bubbles
that can only exist
in this artificial thought environment

Mother Earth keeps spinning
as we oblivious inhabitants
bullet toward the sea

All the inhibitions of yesterday
now dissipated completely
by a maelstrom of natural release
formerly damned as immorality

Time has lost all relevance
which is a scary development
for our crustacean traditionalists
who insist we drop anchor
to cling to the rapidly receding past

But their ancient hooks won't hold
cause the current now flows too strong

Our future is humming
in a complex mesh
of new wave wires
labeled the world wide net

A mocking requiem 
for the last vestiges
of human civility
that never stood a chance
against the torrent of tech inevitability
