CURSE

CURSE

I have no idea where I’m going
I barely even know where I’ve been
Cos I’ve been lost since the day I met you
Cos every night I chase you when I dream
In the silence I choke on nothings
Missing every empty promise you made
I know I shouldn’t try to save you
I know I lost you long before the fade
You were a love I could be still for
Though you did nothing but make me run
In the moonlight I see who you truly are
Though you did have me fooled in the sun
I laid bare to you my very bones
Even still they remain unadorned
I guess a part of me will always want you
A part of me that cannot be warned
But it is no longer enough to ache
To ask that you choose me first
You chose the world time and time again
And instead of love you left me a curse.

Lost

The anguish is very real. The emotion in this is almost physically felt.

"I must get my soul back from you; I am killing my flesh without it." Sylvia Plath
