Poem -

Cutting

She didn’t hear me whimpering,
she didn’t hear me cry.
She didn’t hear the scissors.
She never asked me why.
She didn’t hear the razor.
She didn’t hear me sob.
She didn’t hear me cut myself.
She didn’t feel the throb.
She didn’t hear me blame myself.
She didn’t see the pain.
She didn’t see me hurt myself.
She never knew my pain.
She never heard the guilt I felt.
She never heard the yelps.
She never saw the way I fell.
She never could have helped.

WOW!!..... Beautifully written poetic phrases!!..... that shed light on one of the most dangerous addictions facing humanity......Cutters so often wind up dead...... because of its unbelievably intense and binding addictive nature....... enjoying the pain and the control!!..... I've had two friends that faced the agony and loneliness of it...... One of them is no longer living.... the other is still on heavy duty medication!!....... Thank you for sharing this HALEE!!.....I hope that writing this helped you in some small way...... or perhaps you're not the one going through this yourself!!.....Either way, it is a VERY good thing to shine light on this subject matter...... well written!!.......ALL STARS!!..... well done dear poet sister...... and.......WELCOME to COSMO!!......LOVE & ROCKETS!!.......T xo  ?✴❤
