Greetings Zac,

A "Mr. Bojangles"in deed........Reminds me of the days Sammy Davis Jr. did his thing, a man on a mission when in-tuned to his choice of chosen music, he hears and sees nothing but the tunes that like he himself is so custom to doing dance within his head.A bow to be taken only at the end of his surrendered and sacred dance......A sad day when we come to his platformed box utilized as his stage and existence of he no longer to be applauded and paid homage to....Just as Sammy Davis Junior.....Show never to be laiden as a ending ...instead, just momentarily placed on hold, during his intermission to a life well lived...... Sammy would have loved this one.....

Cheers,

Jim

Thank you for the input, guys!
I really agree with you, Jim. In this world there are too many people unloved and unaccounted for. We, as the fellow humans, should always seek out the individuality of others -- to see their true abilities. Too often are artists discovered after its too late...
In my poem, I tried to show the connection of the man's past with his future -- of course, he is dead, but I tried to make him 'known' throughout his life.

You Know Zac,

(Too often are artists discovered after it’s too late...)  When I read this line it made the hair stand on my head I cut mine off because I choose to be without.....In college I wrote a thesis paper on Artist that receive recognition only after they have expired leaving the owners of their art the only profiteers of their work...And total unjust to the Artist and Poets, that have passed and received their recognition only after they have expired.......It is good to see someone giving them their just rewards and it being immortalized in this poem surpasses any bounty that could be offered in currency....Job extremely well done...And known throughout life, you have done just that.....

That means a lot!
I feel as if more people will be recognized because we finally have the technology for it. When art became "share-able" -- something anyone could do -- only a select few were noted. But I think we have reached a point where anyone can become a noted artist! It is truly amazing to see!

True that and with no doubt......

Great job once again,

I love to dance and this reminds me of an experience I once had being unaccounted for, but then showing yourself for the first time dancing. This brings back some memories. Love it. It's fantastic. The world is a better place when people see the true you and inspiration just makes it better.

Hey very true Kayla,

Memories are one of the only things we have, that the only person that can physically or mentally relieve us of, is ourselves.
