Poem -

Daniel

Daniel

I remember the time I was having you. So scary was it, but I had to stay calm. God brought you early and man it was a shock. But you became the best Christmas present Santa could give.

You started out small less than 4lbs in all. So tiny and frail with jaundice but tall. Red hair to start, and velvet color for eyes. All of which my first day I had to miss.....

The Dr. Did say we were moments away. Of losing our lives cause you were dieing inside. I had to stay calm, I had to be good. I knew that you could feel if I panicked inside. As we bled out on the ambulance ride I counted your heartbeats to know your alive. One, two, three.....one, two, three, all the way in. The ride of our lives flashed before my eyes.

The next I know we are there to be seen. The Dr operating to get you out clean. So quickly it happened so calm I had been. That when it was over I was to weak to grin. To sick to come see your beautiful face. But asked if Santa could come take a picture.

I will always believe Santa brought you to me. All safely bundled up in the nicu I see. I love you already and knew immediately that Santa and God got you ready just for me.....

Very cute little guy, the pride of a mothers compassionate heart and to he, mommy's god in his eyes, a title well deserved and should be proudly displayed Ā at all times...

Cheers,

Jim
