~Dark Despair~

I'm all alone in my solitude of seclusion 

Struggling with my racing thoughts 

Reigning down in my head 

Darkness will be descending soon 

I'm waiting for the death of today to end 

And maybe ease my pain 

As the lump in my throat 

Has me gasping for air 

My tears fall down like rain 

I'm suffocating in my agony 

Consumed with the emptiness 

My demons are coming out to play 

I've been awake for days 

Trying to battle my war within 

It's hopeless I'm not winning 

The fight today I'm breathless and weak.
