Dark Horse

Dazzling daylight scattered accross the
desert sky.
Running swiftly now as dark as the night
she is.
Through caves, up desert hills, calm as
the mountains high.
The wind so soft, accusing the night
of dew.
Dark falls on daylight, darkening the
desert's beauty.
Bright stars give us light, how beautiful
the few.
All calm now as she splaces herselft
at rest.
No movement, just dreams and deep
scattered thought.
No critters in the night puts the dark horse
to the test.

Donna,
I don't know what you look like as a human- so it's easier for me to imagine you as this dark horse- running free- "across the desert, through caves and over hills" the wind behind you- stars above. So vivid, it's almost real. Awesome poem. God bless you.
