Darkness

The darkness begins to come upon me

Yet, i don't try to stop it

I wind up welcoming it

Saying "hello"

I let it in and it begins to whisper

I listen closely to each and every word

I do this because, I know their true

I have become friends with the monsters

Inside the darkness

Believing each and every word

For I am dumb and worthless

I can't think on my own

Wondering maybe,

Just maybe

One day i'll be left alone

To suffer in silence

As the darkness takes me over

For i have become a darkened shadow

Now the light is cold

As i welcome the warm emptiness
