Darkness Got Nothing on Me

The scent of blood,
causes movement in the waters
a cold windΒ stirs the restless waves
and the man feels like an outcast
walking along the coastline
of this sea of darkness
With a song in his heart
and a smile on his face
he hears, but ignores the whispers;
voices calling out his name
Yet knowing in his heart
that they got nothing on him Β Β

Thanks for saying that, Sparrowsong....lol, I know my mind is a little screwed up, but your mind is quite fascinating to me; Β at least when it comes to poetry....I enjoy your work, you are very creative and you don't repeat yourself, I love reading you....cheers my sweet friend....have good day
Thank you Flower, I had to go back and re-read this poem; I forgot what it was about to be honest....I think you nailed the interpretation though...I love the expression; Β art is not what you the writer sees, but it's what you make others see...I think once you post something the interpretation can no longer be solely yours as a writer, but that is also my opinion, lol....cheers my friend
