Poem -

DARLING MAN

I wish I could hate you
It would make it easier
But my darling man
I cannot hate one so dear

I wish I could despise you
For leaving me
But you did no harm to me
It was I who caused tears

I hoped, I had hoped
That I might get it right
That maybe this time
Love would not die of fright

But I am a black soul
Prone to the dog
A dog who stands guard
Letting nobody close

Snarling and biting
Destroying loves house
And there in the wreckage
Emerges the spouse

Battle weary and injured
And scarred beyond hope
Eager to scramble away
From guns scope

So I cannot hate you
Though I wish that I could
For my darling darling man
I wish you nothing but good.

Dear Poet Sister MARION!!
Such a loving piece of honest self-reflection...... as though you were poetically unburdening your soul...... for past regrets and the pains of youthful digressions....... it is BEAUTIFULLY formatted with VERY well crafted phrasing and imagery's offerings!!..... you have a truly poetic soul!!.......I would wager a guess that you are quite the complicated woman...... who wears the gentle façade of kindness and warmth!!.....ALL STARS!!......LOVE your stuff my friend!!........LOVE & ROCKETS!!.......T xo.  : )

Ah thankyou my lovely friend, I love to try and write from different perspectives ( how would I feel if I did this as opposed to that, sort of thing) I love books written in the first person for exactly the same reason...your comments are greatly appreciated Tony ?

A Lonely Journey

Marion,
Beautiful, sad, insightful write.
You're actually far from a black soul, I know that(you're a bright, wonderful soul), but that's writing, and wonderful writing at that.

Great job, my friend!

Matthew.
