Poem -

That day...

As I walk up the aisle I can see your casquet from afar I try to smile but I carry to much sadness within my heart The people whisper as they see me walk by It's time for the little girl to say her goodbye We are now face to face At this point I wish we were home instead of this place For the last time I kiss your cheek and I shed a tear Forgive me for I am weak; losing you was my biggest fear    Seeing you upclose I could swear you were asleep I hold my my mother's hand as I began to weep She had told me you were going to heaven now that you have earned your wings Daddy remember the stuff we did together; Please don't forget those things I promise to be good to mom and love her forever Our relationship will be stronger than ever I'll walk through life holding God's hand And when I look over my shoulder there you will be Dad
