" A Day At The Farmers Market "

" A Day At The Farmers Market "

The sun feels warm and spicy on my face
Like tropical fragrances wafting on breezy insinuations
And smiles emanating from the kindnesses of strangers at the market
Where the sun breaks through the wooden barriers
That attempt to block the warmth I'm speaking of
When a friend glances at me, through watermelon's and cherry smiles
I hasten to catch her thumping
For I love that she'll be staying for a while
To weigh her friendship
And talk tomatoes
And just meander
Through the aisles
Of the Farmers market
Where she first met her husband
And she tells me of his trial
And hopes that one day soon
He'll come home to her
To spend the day
Just meandering
Through the aisles
What a glorious way
To spend the day
At the market
With a friend........
