Thereās a new atrocity in our country, Dognapping is its name;
Where folks while walking their doggies, get them stolen, as they are maimed!Ā Ā Ā
It happens so very quickly, the bastards drive up in a car;
One overtaking the unsuspecting owner, spiriting their loved one off afar!

They are stealing very rare breeds, that will fetch a goodly price;
On the Black Market of nefarious fences, who sell them to people replete with vice!
The wounds of the owners will heal, but not the ones in their hearts;
Never to see their Soulmates again, eternally torn apart!

Iām enraged with this newest evil, and have come up with a wonderful plan;
Dog owners should carry a Magnum, keeping it close at hand!
Then when out jumps the monstrous assailant, fill him with 357 lead;
Then do the same for the driver, making sure that both are now dead!

Larry, it is happening over here too. It is a horrendous and sick crime. Guys wait in woods and parks and grab the dogs and have getaway cars ready and waiting. Houses have also been broken into and nothing but the dog is stolen. I thought it was a "thing" just over here. Lockdown saw more people buying dogs and the price of puppies has sky rocketed. This has triggered the dog - knapping; that and the prevalence of illegal dog fights sadly. I am with you on the magnum idea my friend x

Maybe an excellent deterrent would be to make the penalties for dognapping just the same as kidnapping.Ā Let the bastards know that if caught, they'll spend the rest of their life in jail, and have a good chance of becoming an inmates bitch.Ā Thanks for the enlightenment.Ā Didn't realize it was global.
