Dead Smile

Dead Smile

I tried to thank you with all my heart,
But all you saw was neglect.
I noticed every little thing done for me,
But you thought I didn't care.
I was listening to everything being said,
But you saw me as a bother.
I aknowledged your opinions,
But you stopped sharing them.
I tried to ask you a question,
But you refused to listen.
I was reaching out my hands,
But you forgot to look back.
My eyes were soaked in tears,
But you didn't see a single drop.
My voice was filled with screams,
But all you heard was silence.
It was too late for me.
By the time you noticed,
I was already dead.
When you finally looked at me,
I stood in front of you with
a dead smile.
