Dear Body

Dear body,
You entered the world small, warm, soft. Dear body your mother has loved your body her touch was light like a feather to the skin. Dear body I'm sorry people don't like the way you look all the time. Dear body I'm sorry for all the cuts and bruises I put into your skin. Dear body your mother's touch is no longer soft like a feather. It now burns like the fire that burns in your chest called pain
Dear body I'm sorry I neglected you like the world did. Dear body the love I once had has faded. I no longer see a happy body I see a shell. Dear body please break loose from this shell called depression. Dear body stop letting darkness called anxiety take over your thoughts. Dear body I'm sorry I couldn't heal your cuts and bruises. Dear body you are beautiful the way you are. Dear body I love you. Even when in the darkest times. Dear body that shell called depression and darkness called anxiety will soon go away. Dear body I'm sorry I was not there when you needed me dear body. You are beautiful. Dear body, Hello my name is Ta'lia Yve Gaboton, I'm 5’6 I have a huge overbite. I play volleyball and I'm locked in a shell. I shell I can not break. Dear body I'm sorry. - Talia G
