Dear Coffee

Dear coffee, I would like to thank you
For all that you are to me—
A sweet-smelling, steady source
Of motivation and energy. 
Your aroma lures me out of bed,
My senses you alert,
And often times I leave the house
Wearing you proudly on my shirt! 
You push me through my day,
You get the laundry done,
Cook dinner for my family,
Complete my grocery runs. 
You save me from nervous breakdowns,
Hide the circles beneath my eyes,
And my barista never offers you
In a large enough amount or size!
I would take you any way you are,
With cream and sugar, or pure black,
As long as you get the job done,
And keep my mind on track! 
You've always "bean" there for me,
My morning brew, my dearest Joe,
I love you and appreciate you
A latte more than you could know!
