Dear Germany

Dear Germany

For years I had longed to love and lead you,

Although you held many flaws that which I tried to rid.

I was greatly successful in depleting a few,

For anything I could do for my beloved I did.

In the darkness before my intentional death I await,

I recall the beatings as I was broken and bleeding.

But you made me better and whole, maybe it was fate,

I shall die as a man whose admiration is never fleeting.

Never forget me, I’d like the world to know,

But do not be sad my dear, my heart is with you here.

I dutifully will reap what I do vigorously did sow,

Live in now although my end is drawing near.

And please forgive me as a child when a pet has bitten her,

Yours truly and with all my love, Adolf Hitler.
