Dear Mum

Dear Mum,
Not a day goes by I don’t think of you.
Struggles arise,
The past comes back, biting with sharp, jagged teeth.
Blades twist and turn against me.
My thoughts run wild,
Like a horse, untamed, in a field of fresh grass.
I don’t know what to do.
Assuming the worst after this battlefield,
My heart races,
Like a car speeding toward the finish line.
I’m slipping away.

Hang in there hon. Just hang in there and don't forget that you are strong. Stronger than most of us. So punch that biting-bastard of a past, right back.
