Poem -

Dear Self

I know you think you're ugly,
It's because of low self-esteem.
You only think you're pretty,
At night when you dream.

I know it's pretty hard,
When others compliment you,
But you got to believe them,
Because what they say is true.

You need to look in the mirror,
And see the beauty you have within,
This hatred you have for you,
Really has got to end.

You blush when called beautiful,
Look down when called sweet,
This low self-esteem,
Is something we'll beat.

I know it's quite amazing,
When people look tenderly in your eyes,
The real beauty is within,
It has nothing to do with your size.

Not everyone will hurt you,
There are a few that will show their love,
And may those awesome compliments,
Set your spirit free like a dove.
