Poem -

Dear Western World.

Dear Western World.

Dear Western World, How dare you?
With every factory puff and every oil spill,
You choke our future.
I'm just a kid, and I'm scared because you don't seem to care.
The world is burning, and it's your fault.

You sit in your comfortable homes,
Turning a blind eye to the smoke that rises
From the lands you've never seen.
You fill your lives with things,
More and more things,
While the earth cries out in pain.

You talk about economy, growth, and profit,
But what about us?
The children who inherit this mess,
This disaster you call 'development'?
We learn about sharing, caring, and cleaning up after ourselves.
Why don't you?

Your actions scream louder than any words you say.
They scream of neglect, of destruction,
Of a selfishness so profound it shakes my faith in humanity.
You are the adults, the leaders, the powerful.

I am angry, yes, but more than that,
I am heartbroken for my generation.
We deserve better! We demand better!
Change your ways, Western World.
Before the last tree falls,
Before the last river poisons,
Before the last breath of clean air is stolen.
Change, before there's nothing left to save.

Sincerely, A 10-year-old who's watching his future disappear.

I think this is like the collective voice of today's youth thomas, unfortunately nearly every government in this world is toxic
Old privileged bastards who only care about personal gain and to hell with the rest of us, great stuff x
