Deception

Deception

Billow of black and heavy in anger mist eclipse crescent moon,
Boughs snapped and terrain debris scatter in eerie noon.
Set alight in highest of flames untamed as the sky engulfs,
I lay in shroud, heaped and steeped in dire, lay in waste to the wolves.

Sinister grin in shadow from afar, marred and stricken down,
It lures with fake allure, false smiles, gazing with reversed frown.

Friends, family, people whom you trust, it comes with serrated blade much sharper and divisive than strangers come and lost.
A rotting core more of maggot eaten mess, I must confess it’s a bitter pill to swallow, in sorrow I lay in wait, I await my fate, reluctant to get dressed!

Tarnished painting, colours run and ruin, I’m stewing, riddled in anxious stress.Β  You picked us apart like vultures in ravenous planes, I’m shocked, I must confess.
