"Decline the Ghosts"

"I was not ready,
to give up,
being a ghost.
As the drugs,
were a parasite,
living off of me as the host.

I even hung out,
in graveyards,
thought they were my kin,
as I used,
in their field of death,
and reveled in my sin.

We were the same,
except I had a body,
and that to me,
has been up until now,
such a baffling oddity.

Now I seek,
to rejoin the living,
and what not to do,
is the advice,
I am giving,
so in my mind,
my mistakes,
will be set in stone,
that I will learn from them,
all the way down,
to my bones.
So I'm sorry,
ghosts now,
you have to be alone!"
