Deeply hurt

why does pain
 always have to hurt
its like a burning sensation
that never yearns
i hate the way
 your smiling at me
i didn't do nothing to you
i just believed
i thought you could change
i guess i was wrong
the only thing you've done
is make my feelings turn
maybe i was wrong
about the whole situation
i thought i could change stuff
but i just kept it going
you meant the world to me
but then you left
it hurt me deeply
right inside my chest
you have taught me
to do my best
then you hurt me
and it all kind of left
you were my father
you were my friend
i stuck you close
before you stabbed it in
you hurt my feelings
you hurt my life'
you left a hole
where you had that knife
I thought you cared
but that went astray
but never will your memory 
just fade away
