Delilah

Delilah utmost fair
Vainglory tis thou ware
Heart but callous beat
Treacheries bittersweet
Thou art nowt but vanity
Craving pure insanity
And yet how it burns
Foolish sod neβer learns
Trust assuredly confesses
Shear brawny tresses
Condemned to Philistine
Lovelorn still comely queen
Last of strength awaken
Divinity hath forsaken
Destroy foe in feats of glory
Cast Persians to purgatory

thank you Neville, one of my poetry friends gave me a challenge with my ink Merlin, he said I stepped up quite nicely. I have never been one to excel at much but writing makes me feel like I've found my niche. I appreciate you stopping by to read my work.Β
That was a fun read. I burst out laughing at your "foolish sod" line.
tis a blessing and a curse to write something that can invoke emotion thank you for stopping by to read
