The Demon

He pounds at my heart.... at my soul
of course he simply has no goal
he burns and burns on the inside
and i churn and churn all inside
he sticks around like bad breathe from garlic
the demon inside that's an alcoholic
he sips on my blood every minute or two
he helps me with every fight that's due
he could leave and move on truly anytime
he could kill me so fast i wouldnt have a chance to cry
but he seems to have to pay an invisible dept
that i know doesn't exist cause i never saved him from death
it was like i taught him in a way
he learned how to live to be more human
so i guess he became more than just a demon
he was a dark fire in me that didn't help but supported
he supported me to become better and be an elite
it was the true thing that made me an athlete
he made me fit in a tower filled with warriors like me
he made strong like a character from a hidden prophecy
the one that had a spirit like infinitely burning paper
the dark flamed demon that resides inside me

Many suffer inner turmoil, or demons. These demons have to be vanquished to find a peace which allows you to make the most of life. It is in a faith that one can find a resolution to that which torments, where the key to a settling of the aforementioned turmoil lies !
Thoroughly engrossing read.
Hey Insane Whisper,
I'm enjoying your pieces to the fullest and am very proud to know that my rival has written not just his 1st poem, but multiple others. As for this poem in particular poem, even with how enjoyable as it is/was, I suggest that you take your time because I know your one to rush things. Not everything goes well when rushed, in fact most things don't at all, but I know you, trust in your abilities.
Your Rival, Never Unknown
