Demons

Theres a demon in my mind
I struggle to block it out
It screams within my soul
Echoing hatred and doubt

It's focus is on my sanity
It lives to destroy my peace
From it's demonic clutches
My mind can't find a release

It sucks in the positivity
And breathes out only pain
So I suffocate on self loathing
And lose myself again

Need to learn the triggers
That unlock the cages
Holding back the demon
I have inside that rages

It pulls me away from you
And how I want to be
It feeds on my weaknesses 
Until it has consumed me
