Poem -

Demons

Would I rather be lost in the woods, or up where the demons hide?
Would I rather be wandering aimlessly, or up on the mountain where fear resides?
I thought I'd known secrets, I thought I'd known fear,
But look at the view up here.
Finally something has helped me grow up.
Everything's clear up here.
Hold me, show me how I can be safe here
Whisper gently, tell me there's nothing to fear.

Would I rather be gazing up at the blue sky, or way up in outer space?
Would I rather be sitting on the beach, or drowning in a deep blue place?
This feeling inside me, this fire that burns,
Can never be hidden too long.
I'll sing and I'll write and I'll keep walking on
Now I know we can't all be strong.

Great work emmydell,
"Would I rather be lost in the woods, or up where the demons hide?
Would I rather be wandering aimlessly, or up on the mountain where fear resides?
I thought I'd known secrets, I thought I'd known fear,
But look at the view up here."
love to you, nardine xoxo
