Depression

I refuse to give in, I'm not quite done yet,
How's yours? Get a life, clutch at scraps, you bet;
My old boss said: 'Mix with them, could rub off,
I'm autonomous, I know when I've had enough.
You have your memories, use them mon ami,
they'll lift you to where you used to be;
enjoy the sunshine, never mind the rain,
because one day you won't be coming again.
A friend said: If I was disabled, I'd top myself,
your discernment - what you regard as wealth;
the taste of bourbon takes the old dull away,
I don't have to visit gigs or pretend I'm gay.
Hang in there, or rather don't even think about it,
laugh, remember your highs, what was your best bit.
