~Depression Defined~

Depression is a lonely dark place that leaves you standing all alone 

With a sickness that destroys everything that makes you feel less than human 

In a dark world inside your mind 

When your thoughts are confined to your memories 

That twist and distort polluting your emotions and my raging storm explodes 

Consuming me in my despair 

As the demons within awaken destroying my thoughts 

Devouring me my depression fills me with my sadness and I drown in my despair 

Consumed with torment and pain 

Your demons can determine your fate

Holding on to what little hope I have 

I can always look for a way out, an escape to try and save what little sanity remains 

As I suffocate in my mind I struggle to just breathe air

To battle my war within my depression cripples me and I come undone 

My demons are eating me alive and I submit to my darkness 

My depression wins I have no more energy to fight and I close my eyes I disappear into myself I slowly fade.
