A Derailed Train

A Derailed Train

Have you ever noticed lately
How the speed of life has picked up
No one has time to listen anymore
It's tough just trying to keep up

Most don't want their train derailed
Afraid of losing their thought
So they barrel ahead totally oblivious
To what's going on in the plot

Different thoughts, different tracks
Amazing how this can happen
Query them on the things you just said
Your story always comes in second

Disconcerting is this hyper approach
In place of polite interaction
Give me back the good old days
We spoke, then waited for a reaction

No texting on cell phones, no Internet
Just plain old repartee
Intelligent conversations face to face
Content as a person could be

A poem very witty, but personally I think that Internet is not a determining factor for the deterioration of the physical relationships of people, virtual relations can be brought without abandoning the relations of our environment, the Web is negative or positive, depending on the use we make of it. When lives traveling aimlessly or derailed it usually always by an accumulation of factors. The image is striking, despite that there is a safe travel to the railway environment.

A greeting.
