Devils Playground

Devils Playground

Null of sustenance upon arid planes,
Billows of fog and mist befall,
Dissonant tone and echoes of pain,
Daunt of hidden lips beckoning calls.

Outside midst stone and mire,
Stood upon tarnished ground,
Before unanswered prayer and squire,
Entity’s mutterings profound.

Aged stones lay cracked and broken,
Debris and bones lay in scatter,
Something walks, not of this earth,
Windows buckle and shatter.

Black hooves, its tail whips in the wind,
Trouncing on tops of walls,
Unspeakable presence upon roof tops,
The cross above descends and falls.

Menace upon once holy terrain,
Malefic of kings stands before,
He spits upon thy rapture terrene,
Malevolent he is to the core.
