Diamond Tears, Sestina Fears

Sitting in her room, the young girl
is once again in the dark.
Left with nothing but her tears,
along with the suffering and pain,
that is brought by her father
from his anger and words of silence.
Through the house rings the silence
of the hurting little girl
who will never be anything to her father
except someone to shut in the dark
and to cause memories of pain
while fighting his own tears.
And down fall the diamond tears,
not to be held to the rules of silence
as they mix together with the pain
radiating from the emotions of the girl
who wants to light up the darkĀ
and find happiness within her father.
"I want what's best" says the father
as he tries to look past the tears
that he hides away in the dark
and hushes in the silence
locked away in the girl
who must deal with her own pain.
Just like every emotion, pain
rolls off of the hardened father
who lives vicariously through the little girl
and her tiny smile hides behind the tears
that are beginning to understand the silence
and they too now hide in the dark.
It is constantly night, as the dark
exists only to shroud the pain
in a sea of blackness and silence
while the sun hunts the father
hoping to cause him tears
in an attempt to save the little girl.
As the little girl fights the dark
To light up the pain and bring noise to the silence
The father lays his head in his hands and cries his own tears.
