Dusk

Dusk

Dark, black, night
    screaming silence
you shudder
    and look behind you

The feel of life
    but no one
is around
    who is watching?

Eyes, eyes, eyes
    in the back of
your head
    searching

What is there
    to see
in the night
    pitch black?

Screams
    but you hear
nothing when your
    eyes are vacant

Running red,
    warm, and silken
down the drains
    by your feet
