I hold memories in my heart
Of those I hold so dear
They're stored for when we're apart
So I can always hold them near.

I revisit them through the pain 
And remember them with love
Knowing I will see you again
In heaven up above.

I hear your laugh and see your smile
And love fills up my heart
The feeling lasts for quite a while
Then I remember we're apart.

I found a mum when I met you
Someone who showed they care
You always knew just what to do
But now you are not there.

The love you showed is plain to see
You touched every single heart 
You've gone home and your spirits free
Though it hurts we had to part.

Now is the time to say goodbye 
We have to let you go
Though it will hurt and I will cry 
I had to let you know.

You showed me how to love and care
You showed me how to smile 
You taught me to always be there
And walk that extra mile.

You taught me how to be a friend
And stopped me from self-harm
You taught me life's too good to end
And helped me stay calm.
