Did I ever...?

πŸ“· Fatemeh Mardani | Yamin

Did I ever...?

Did I ever notice fading light in your eyes?
Have I ever thought why this girl never cries?
Didn't I ever think about things you couldn't say?
Haven't I ever tried to wash this all away?

The constant weight over your shoulders
The heavy rain beneath your eyes

Your body so small compared to mine
Your oceans of pain don't seem to mind

You carry this all alone
The torment you never shown

Tired of being on our own
We fell in love again
By crowded alleys of this empty town

The raven called your name
And I'm all alone again
