Diversity

Diversity

If my thoughts
were different
than yours
would you still
debate me?

If my life experiences
were different
than yours
would you
embrace
my perspective?

If my religion
was stranger
than the
one you
have
come to
known
would you
respect me?

If my thoughts
towards
gun control
made you
feel
uneasy
would you
try to force
your own values
upon me

If I just don't
fit
in a certain
group
would you
still insist on
labeling me?

If I told you
I accept the differences
between us
and respect your views
would that be enough?

Just wandering....................
