The DNA Dance

The DNA Dance

As two partners dancing together

Intertwining into a spiral

Turning and turning

In a sophisticated waltz

Connected by adenine,

Cytosine,

Guanine,

And thymine.

Slowly, the room around them expands

Larger and larger

The walls won’t be able to hold

The perimeter for much longer.

Therefore they must end their dance

And bond with other partners

To complete another replication tango

With another nucleic acid

In another place

In another realm.
