Do Not Be Afraid

Do not be afraid of the mountain-
For fear will only hinder you.
So much of life is learned in the climb-
As precious dreams come into view!
Do not be afraid of the thunder!
For the storm may pass you by!
Smile at sunbeams every chance you get-
and child never be ashamed to cry.
Do not be afraid of the winding roads.
Sometimes true wisdom there is found!
Other times the face in the mirror-
Can give advice that will be more sound.
Do not be afraid of yourself my dear!
Of your ambitions, feelings and such!
For only you can make the mark in life-
That none otherΒ heart can touch!
Do not be afraid of testing yourself!
For attempting is not to fail!
Failure comes where there is no joy-
When the colors of your dreams pale.
Do unto yourself as you would others!
Love, Laugh, Encourage and Care!
For the soul is full of spectacular color!
Especially when God dwells there!
