Doggy School

Doggies here and doggies there,
Owners training everywhere,
Sit and stay and do not bark,
Waiting proudly for strangers remark,
Showing off the dogs perfection,
Just to earn a strangers affection.
But when things do go wrong,
Just quickly fix it with a prong,
As misbehaving is a shame,
To the dog owners name.
And here I am with my little pooch,
Giving him a massive smooch,
Having the perfect dog on the show,
But behind closed doors there is more to know.
Chasing cats, barking rough,
Showing off his little scruff,
Misbehaving little prick,
Should have given him some stick.
And still I do not pop on a prong,
And although my way might take long,
I grab the treats and just have fun,
I am my dogs moon and sun.
And when our eyes do meet,
He does get a little treat,
He looks at my hand like a magic wand,
This is the time we really bond.
Through thick and thin we never give up ,
Definitely I never scold the pup,
I look at my pooch and say:
It is ok,
I love you and you are perfect in every way.
