Poem -

Don't Do Drugs

If you ever try a drug
you'll have to steal a coffee mug
Just to make yourself a cup of joe

And if you ever smoke the crack
The giant dumpster-bin out back
will be the only place you have to go

And if you ever pop the pills
To seek and find some crazy thrills
I bet that you'll explode into the sky

And if you ever have the need
To roll the blunt and smoke the weed
I guess you'll have to be prepared to die

If you snort the crystal meth
You'll have to stay with Great Aunt Beth
Who makes you scrub the floorboards twice a week

And if you try to snort cocaine
You'll get a fried egg for a brain
And everyone will say that you're a freak

And children let us not forget
The drugs inside a cigarette
tobacco nicotine will kill you dead

And if you ever have the sex
A big tyrannosaurus rex
Will eat you before you climb out of bed

Wow, was this a powerful - thought provoking poem. It takes the reader through all the possible drugs and drug addictions that followed.

Favorite part:
And if you ever have the need
To roll the blunt and smoke the weed
I guess you'll have to be prepared to die

Just wanted to add my thoughts as I use medical marijuana every day. While there will always be a stigma attached, I feel fortunate that I can honestly say I've never wanted to harm myself using marijuana, only when I was taking the pharmaceutical drugs to alleviate problems with bipolar one condition.

I liked how you described each drug to the possible outcomes.

Well done!
