Don't Forget Me

"Don't forget about me", you said
"I won't", I said.....but my heart is breaking
Every year I hoped and prayed but you didn't come back
Little by little I had to let go ~ begrudgingly so
The missing you part of all this is now sadly different
Even though I've missed you for the last 25 yrs.....
I'll carry on missing you now sister and wondering what are lives would have been like......holidays, adventures precious memories 
I feel so cheated of memories that should have been ours but were stolen from us.
In another life let's make up for everything taken away let's skinny dip, dance, watch the sunrise and travel the world together and then watch our children grow laughing all the way.
RIP 
I'll never forget you.
