Don't Quite Know
ClassroomÂ
Stare at the ceilingÂ
Don’t quite know where to lookÂ
how to smileÂ
When to laugh
Ask for help but so many people need it more than you
So how real is your hurt anywaysÂ
Sitting in plastic chairs behind plastic tablesÂ
Plastic board boredom sinks into the emptiness in yourÂ
Full to fill the void stomach
Hollow eyes red where they should be whiteÂ
Black where they should be skinÂ
Lashes pile on the ground around there are no more wishes left in us
Scratched nose rubbed lidsÂ
Yawn but the tiredness does not disappearÂ
Its remnants floating belly up in the vast ocean of all this unfulfilled potential
Pupils swimming in a milky sea of blindnessÂ
Blink twice
But no one dives in to save me
Sinking under the salty-sweet surface if you
See meÂ
Please
Teach me how to be simultaneously happy, in peace and alive.
