Poem -

Sweet Desperation

there is something missing in your smile.
something empty in your eyes.
you were like glistening water
I desperately wanted to jump into
but you were so
cold.
there is something missing in your laugh,
maybe it's love
it's never lust.
there is something missing in your heart.
you are sweet with desperation
every bit of you covered by mirrors and curved glass.
everyone knew you were a predator
but no one says a thing
they watch
you consume me
I let you.
I don't say a thing.
