Doorways to the soul

She kept her head pressed firmly against his chest while he held her in a tender embrace 

The tears streamed down her cheeks like a fiercely flowing river 

Please never leave me, never leave me like he did she pleaded to him ,he is the most important man in my life and he left without hesitation, your the only other man I love, if you leave I cannot imagine life beyond that point

His hands grasped her head raising it up to meet her saddened eyes

Glimmering in the dimly light room the color seemed to be even more vivid, appearing as if someone had taken the midnight stars and placed them upon her eyes with a backdrop of Alaskan ocean water

Wiping the tears away from her flushed cheeks he tried to reassure her "I'll never leave you, not now not ever" 

The smile that spread across her face could have brightened the entire galaxy, she stared at his eyes quietly whispering to him "You're eyes are so beautiful they say eyes are the door ways to the soul, if that's true you're soul must be as beautiful as a precious gem shinning even in the dirt"
