Down Goes Trump
Today, the impeachment hearings, go public on TV;
Aimed at the most corrupt of Presidents, our country has ever seen!
He Twitters of his innocence, says, “I never did anything wrong”;
But he is so guilty on every count, convicted does he belong!
.
Yet, I am sure it will not happen, for his posse will protect his ass;
Many of them also dishonest, a total lack of class!
Honorable people will duly testify, to his Oath of Office breach;
Democrats will vote to get rid of him, and the Republicans beseech!
.
To vote yes on his impeachment, and make our country great again;
To rid our nation of this despot, the most detestable of men!
But unfortunately, the GOP party, is inundated with corruption too;
And even when it passes in the House, in the Senate, it won’t get through!
.
But I think our nation now is waking up, seeing we made a big mistake;
And in November of 2020, reparations will we make!
Possibly, the greatest landslide, in our nation’s history;
Donald Trump will leave the White House, which will end our misery!

There will probably be a lot of authors wanting to write a book about the impeachment, I'm keeping my personal perceptions to myself (for once). I am a democrat and I think the proceedings are confusing to watch and even more confusing to understand.
I see the stories on the news about Korea and about Iran, seems they are all being strategically placed around the US and in the middle east for continued battles.
I'm hoping the country does not have to be in another war that will last two more decades. My only wish for America is, to find a president that all sides will agree on. Course, that is never going to happen. The entire system is divided in many ways.Â

I kind of figured you were a Democrat. Our country is at a crossroads. If Trump isn't stopped, we are in dire straits. I will be publishing on Wednesday, a poem I've written about the impeachment hearings, called "Country Or Party".
