Down on the Farm

Down on the Farm

Country girl why you left me so sad and lonely?

I had no idea you could be, such a heart breaker

My soul feels like a broken wheel, rolling down

a rumbling tumbling shook-up road to nowhere

I thought you were a church goer, a Satan hating

sheet-biting angel of love-

Country girl, why you playing these games, lately?

Nobody is ever gonna love you so hard, so true,

quite like me,

Get up before dawn,

to cook you biscuits and bacon

recite Shakespeare, and lick between your toes

rub your body, till ripples move in your milking pale

then lick your  candy, till your accent start to change

You were my dark, mercurial muse, with issues

I was your hard drinking, deep loving, bringer of rain,

never once did you ever tell me; that wasn't enough,

to give you happiness, and take away all your pain

Hee Haw!  lol, thank ya kindly, sister Cherie, and yes, I'm itching to take some guitar lessons as we speak, should take me about two or three years, lol... darn right I had fun writing this, and I'm painfully sober as well, lol....seriously sis, thanks for the encouragement, I am by nature, not a very serious person so it feels sorta, kinda liberating to have a lil fun writing nonsense like this....have good evening, hugs

T, glad you liked, humour is sometimes hard for me to convey on a poetry site, still I try, lol....good practice....hey T, I left a comment on your Lake Michigan's Wall poem, and a site message comes up, comment won't get posted, not sure what that is all about....I'll try again, cheers

HRL, I would love to live on a farm, I live in a place that is surrounded by farms, 20 years ago no sub-division existed here, and you had to wait for the freight train to pass, until they built the bridge, and a train station, supermarket, now there is talk of a mall down the road....lots of traffic, the area is one of the fastest growing in all of North- America,  but still surrounded by beautiful farms, once you leave the core....glad you enjoyed my silly poem, bro.  lol, licking toes, not sure where that came from...hey, the world is serious enough, don't you think, rock?  lol, cheers...thanks for the comment, glad  you enjoyed...

ps, good to see comments come back on here, could not post any for a while, thought they were banned, lol
