Dragons

Dragons

Remember in school
On the tarmac playground
You could summon a dragon
Someone else would take it down
In our minds we were gods
And no scraped up knees
Could prevent us from fulfilling
Our heroic destinies
Our imaginations ran wild
'Til the ring of the school bell
When not only us
But the dragons all fell
A few years down the line
I accidentally summoned a dragon
But theres no one here to take it down
And I think the school bell's broken
