Dream catcher
he only comes out when it’s dimÂ
and the streets are quiet, he getsÂ
misunderstood because he’sÂ
too tall, too slim, and too grim
by day he dreams about loveÂ
and friends something he’sÂ
never had, the only time heÂ
was touched was from a shoveÂ
shunned by the village peopleÂ
he lives in a quaint little cottage
at the back of the butchersÂ
only friend he’s got is a beetleÂ
he found it on a gloaming nightÂ
the little bug hangs around andÂ
listens to his lonely lost woes, itÂ
makes him feel like he’s not blightÂ
pushed aside this lonely creatureÂ
is desperate to feel what others do, so
he makes potions and bottles them upÂ
then slips into the night like a creeperÂ
under the pale light from a crescent moonÂ
he stalks the streets looking for open
windows and when he finds them he
blows the silky potions into the roomÂ
as the people sleep he steals theirÂ
unconscious thoughts, luna dreamsÂ
vicariously living through their mindsÂ
he leans in and catches them with a snareÂ
for this is the only way he can knowÂ
what it feels like to be human, it’s onlyÂ
fair isn’t it, the beetle can’t talk backÂ
this house is done, off to the next one he goesÂ

Oh wow my imagination was all over this dark little tale. I first thought of the slender man, when you were describing him. Then you went a whole new level. What a great readÂ
